Bedhead units are designed and built with a view to provide
smooth lines, a stylish finish and pleasing aesthetics in
order to blend into the room décor. The unit, generally, is
in accordance with the British Department of Health
Memorandum No 2015 (HTM 2015). Built from individually
extruded aluminium sections, the unit provides separate
compartments for medical gases and electrical services.
Furthermore, the gas compartment is ventilated to prevent a
build up of gas inside the unit. There are separate panels
for low voltage (LV) and protective extra-low voltage (PELV)
services. This allows access to the PELV section for
servicing without having to isolate the LV circuits.
Bedhead Units are available in the following three models
* Model BHD SS-40800
The design of the BHD 2000 is in compliance with HTM
2015. The medical gas terminal units are fixed in a separate
gas chamber that is of a shorter length than the main
housing and is mounted on the lower side of the main
housing.
* Model BHD SS-40810
This particular model has been introduced because of
numerous customers’ requests. The medical gas terminal units
are fixed in the main housing.
* Model BHD SS-40820
Intended for ICUs, the medical gas terminal units in BHD
2020 are mounted in a separate gas chamber which equals the
length of the main housing. The separate gas chamber mounted
on the lower side of the main housing makes this model HTM
2015 compliant.
CHOICE OF LENGTH
* The bedhead unit can be supplied in any length ranging
from 1.2m to 6m
CHOICE OF ELECTRIC SOCKETS
* Any number of electrical sockets can be accommodated
depending upon the length of the unit. A complete choice of
British / American / Euro US / German Schuko sockets is
available.
CHOICE OF MEDICAL GAS TERMINAL UNITS
* Any number of medical gas terminal units can be
accommodated depending upon the length of the unit. A
complete choice of British / German / French / and Japanese
standard terminal units is available.
CHOICE OF COLORS
* The main unit is normally supplied in white color (RAL
9010). The color of the side plates, the trim strips, and
the central plate may be ordered to match the room décor.
NURSE CALL SYSTEM & LIGHTS
* If desired, the unit can be supplied with a provision for
a nurse call system. This provision comes complete with a
reset switch, and a light. Reading lights, room lights, and
night lights are also available.
HYGIENE AND MAINTENANCE
The bedheat unit is very easy to clean and maintain. The
design minimizes joints where dust and germs can collect
thus making cleaning easy. Maintenance such as replacement
of electronic lights is made simple. There is no need to
disassemble the whole unit.
The unit is delivered completely assembled, pre-piped and
pre-wired ready for installation. |
